I am really taken back by this. I have 2 dogs that some may deem an “aggressive” breed (nothing could be further from the truth) and if someone came into my home or onto my property and told me they were taking my dogs, I would either be leaving in cuffs or in a bag. No one infringes on my God given right to have pets and no one tells me what breed of dogs I can have. Punish the DEED not the breed. If these dogs did nothing wrong then leave them alone. This whole bylaw or whatever it is called (legislation) is a complete joke.
Why stop here??? I some a kids in baggy pants rob and beat an old lady.

New law!!! ALL kids wearing baggy pants are now deemed illegal, they will be ripped from their parents arms and will be relocated or euthanized.

Come on people what have we come to as a society when this is even remotely acceptable?

The City of Brampton accepted dog license fees and the owners’ breed IDs.

I wonder whether the owners have a breach of contract suit against the City of Brampton for reversing its acceptance.

Phone them all – they’ve been aware for years what is going on at animal control!

Also – remind Mayor Fennell it is an election year in Brampton and dog owners have very long memories!

Don’t e-mail politicians, it’s too easy for them to screen e-mails and dump them if they contain keywords. Snail mail or fax instead.

Brampton is Lie-beral Land and Fennell is the mayor who signed Brampton’s municipal “pit bull” law, so I don’t expect any brain cells to rub together up there. None have been displayed so far.

Sounds to me like Brampton Animal CONTROL are the ones “out of control”. Guess some people “get off” picking on elderly couples on pension, who they KNOW would not have the finanical resourses to take on those who suspect all short haired, medium sized dogs to be pit bull like.

Time for the Mayor and City Councillor’s in Brampton to get their paid “power crazy” employee’s in check.

I would like to know what qualifications they have to declare these dogs as a specific breed? A
