{"id":83,"date":"2007-02-28T10:52:00","date_gmt":"2007-02-28T18:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chicobandido.com\/blog\/?p=83"},"modified":"2007-02-28T10:52:00","modified_gmt":"2007-02-28T18:52:00","slug":"guilty-by-association","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chicobandido.com\/blog\/2007\/02\/guilty-by-association\/","title":{"rendered":"Guilty by association"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Discrimination<br \/>Intimidation<br \/>Isolation<br \/>Vilification<\/em><\/p>\n<p>These are but a few of the many experiences that some, if not most, owners of certain types of dogs must endure on a regular and frequent basis.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fullpost\"><\/p>\n<p>As a direct result of the <em>disinformation<\/em> spouted by mainstream media organizations and by publicity-seeking politicians, many average citizens seem to feel that it&#8217;s perfectly acceptable, perhaps even necessary, to harass, threaten, and assault other law-abiding citizens. <\/p>\n<p>From the Dog Politics blog, here are some examples of these types of actions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>People crossing the street, or screaming and cursing at a dog owner;<\/li>\n<li>Denial of accomodations at a hotel or campground, or access to a park;<\/li>\n<li>Disabled persons with service dogs being asked to leave a store or restaurant;<\/li>\n<li>Physical assaults including spitting, kicking, throwing of rocks, cans, bottles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you think these are exaggerations or unusual occurrences, I can tell you from personal experience that they&#8217;re not!
